That’s the plan! Thanks for the love!

Ed, all I can say is, "Awesome!" Certainly, one could argue that going back to boxing, after taking off 8 years, is a fool's errand. (Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of purposely getting hit in the head, for fun, but that's another debate.) In your case, you seem to have given it more than a grain of thought. Furthermore, you have all the (in my view proper) logic in place. Regret is something no one should endure, so I understand your decision. Testing your theories is something too few do. Go for it, and all the very best!

Hahaha, I’d never describe boxing as “getting hit in the head for fun” but I take your meaning.

And thanks!!

I accept that my description reflects an admittedly (and possibly unfairly) negative view. I look forward to a positive outcome and verification of your premises.

I hope it all goes well for you,the fighting and the publishing. Interesting to see how all the different factors need to be in place like a complex design,to get the best result. A well thought out plan!

I’m happy the plan doesn’t sound as crazy to other people as it does to me sometimes haha

Best of luck!! I just turned 38 and just got into a boxing gym for the first time 7 months ago.

I’ve always considered myself to be in decent shape and I’ll never forget my first class. I thought I was going to die. Literally. Most humbling thing I’ve ever done.

Give it a go Ed! The older we get, the smarter we get. You have huge advantages...put them into practice to refine your smarts further.

Congrats and good luck. I started boxing at 40. Now 46, and an active USA Boxing registered amateur. Amateur's way different than pro, of course. But you can do it.

As competitive boxer myself : massive respect to you for stepping on that ring

On your commentary about biomechanics : A lot of soviet coach have that sort of training, hence Bivol-like style looking like a Russian danse choregraphy sometimes. They focus on motions, rather than movements, and on sequences rather than combinations. There is this amazing channel Soviet boxing on youtube, translated in English.

massive respect and good luck to you, I'll be watching whenever you're fighting for sure! also, I'm a boxing coach myself and was wondering if you'd maybe be able to give me a few pointers or explain what it is you think you've discovered? I'm always really intrigued by new approaches to training and would love to hear it even if it's unproven as of yet
